*Enrollment for the Pre-K, VPK and wrap-around programs will be addressed at the beginning of February. This is for Kindergarten – 8th grades only.

The lottery will take place during the second week in March, 2017. Students who were selected will be called. An admission letter will follow containing instructions on how to register.

Enrollment for Imagine Charter School at Weston and Imagine Middle School West is done through two separate application/lottery processes. Please note: the Elementary and the Middle School are two separate charters. There could be a lottery for one school and not the other depending on the number of applicants and the spaces available. Applications for the upcoming school year 2017-2018 will be accepted from January 19 – February 28, 2017. Tours of our campus will be held during this enrollment period. Due to ongoing teaching and learning in the classrooms, parents of prospective students are asked to leave all children at home. All hour-long overviews begin promptly at 9:00 A.M. on the following dates:

Informational Assembly for Pre-K thru 8th Grade:

Please choose one of the following dates:

  • Thursday, February 2, 2017 – 9am–10am
  • Monday, February 13, 2017 – 9am–10am
  • Tuesday, February 21, 2017 – 9am–10am

This is an adult-only event, no children please!

Due to limited parking at Imagine Weston, please park in designated areas across the street at Publix. Advanced reservations are not necessary for the tours.

Applications are available in the front office, during the tours, or can be submitted to Maria Acuna at maria.acuna@imagineschools.org. Parents are responsible for ensuring that information submitted is accurate and up-to-date.

If there are more applicants than available spots, then all new applicants will be entered into a computerized lottery system that will randomly select students and generate a wait list for each grade level. If a student is not selected for admission, wait lists are kept for one year only. If you applied and did not get in, you must reapply each new enrollment period. When openings do occur (in the summer and during the school year) we call the next number of the wait list and/or priority list. If a student is selected and his/her sibling is not, that sibling is placed on a priority wait list and will be placed if an opening occurs in the designated grade level.

Parents will have a deadline in which to come in and officially register their child in the school for the 2017-2018 school year, otherwise the spot becomes available to another family. Students who were not selected through the lottery will be placed on a waiting list. Parents can call the office for the wait-list number.

As spaces become available throughout the summer and next school year, we will invite applicants on the waiting list to enroll. It is the responsibility of applicants to assure that the school has up to date contact information. Applicants that cannot be reached will be removed from the wait list. Once notified, applicants will have one business day to schedule an enrollment appointment. Applicants who fail to make the appointment or enroll will be removed from the waiting list. The seat will be offered to the next applicant on the waiting list. Students who withdraw from the school must re-apply through the lottery system. No preference will be granted for having attended the school in the past.

Registration Requirements when student has been selected:

  • Updated immunization records both the yellow and blue forms
  • Two forms of identification for the parent registering the child
  • Proof of age for the child i.e. birth certificate or passport

This is not the application for the Bi-Literate program. Once accepted, a student has to apply for that program during registration. Due to high demand for the program, there is a separate lottery and Spanish/English assessments for admission.
